Orlando is the land of a million attractions. It is the top travel destination for families in the world and one of the most visited vacation spots in the world. There’s no doubting it given all the theme parks and varies attractions to draw the family. There are many package deals you can buy for combining hotel and theme parks packages to take advantages of discounts available. Check with any organization you belong to for discounts such as; Auto Club, credit unions, employer’s entertainment package services. The internet is a great tool to use to look for information and packages available for hotels and theme parks. I have found very good hotel prices staying in Kissimmee which is an adjacent city to Orlando, if budget is a concern or don’t want to be staying at one of the theme park hotels with all the commotion. There is also an entire market now built around rental housing and condos in the area given the large number of tourist the area draws yearly. The busiest time to visit is Christmas and Spring Break so plan around these times if possible.
Although Disney World is the best known attraction, there are many other attractions to visit in and near Orlando. The theme parks are: Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Epcot, Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Sea World Adventure Park.
Walt Disney World Vacations
Kennedy Space Center is an interesting place to visit, with the actual rockets, space capsules, and other equipment that have made space exploration possible.
Other places to visit are Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Blue Spring State Park, Dinosaur World, Fantasy of Flight, and Gatorland.
Orlando also has many lakes to visit such as: Lake Apopka, Eustis, Griffin, Harney, Harris, Jesup, Monroe, Sand Lake, Conway and Tohopekaliga.
From Port Canaveral there are several cruise lines offering 4 and 7 day cruises such as: Carnival Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International to the Caribbean Islands.
Remember to plan carefully in order to give yourself enough time to enjoy your visit to Orlando. Theme parks like Disney World can easily take two days to visit, so scheduling your vacation properly is very important. The top must see places I would recommend are Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Kennedy Space Center. If you can also take in a short 4 day cruise, it will definitely cap off a great vacation.
